The girl, 15, was picked up by sheriff's deputies who were acting on a tip. She was in the company of another reported runaway, 14, in the 63000 block of Maryland Rd.
The sheriff's office said she was released to the Montrose Police Department, which had been investigating her absence since it was reported Nov. 4.
