MONTROSE  - Region 10 was recently rewarded a grant to provide loans to businesses, with the intent to create jobs and increase lending.

“We have received a $420,000 community development block grant (CDBG) from the federal Housing and Urban Development program ... it’s part of a big grant used to fund the 14 different business loan programs in the state,” Region 10 Director Paul Gray said this week.

Region 10 is currently accepting loan applications from businesses. Though there’s no criteria as far as the size of business that can borrow, there are several  requirements that must be met.
