She was born Oct. 27, 1936 to John (Jack) Robert Craig and Beatrice Mae (Prunty) Craig. She grew up in Hudson, Ill. and attended elementary and middle schools there and graduated from Normal Community High School in 1954.
She married Glenn Bernie Robbins in Hudson on May 22, 1955. Bernadine raised five children, Dody Robbins of Worland, Wyo., Marty Robbins of Flower Mound, Texas, Shelly Robbins of Basin, Wyo., Elizabeth (Libby, Robbie) Robbins of Sheridan, Wyo. and Joey Robbins of Basin, Wyo.

Bernadine’s incredible strength of character, quick wit and humor was enjoyed by all. She loved family and her children, their spouses, grandchildren (Steve, Kendy, Casey, Brice, Brittney) and nine great-grandchildren. She loved cooking and assisted in the cookbook “How to Make a Square Tortilla.” One of her favorite places of employment was Owen Nursery in Bloomington, Ill. Her greatest legacy and joy was raising her special needs daughter, Shelly.
Service, Love and Compassion are the characteristics of Bernadine.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Robbins; brothers, Robert and Roger; and her parents, John and Beatrice. She is survived by siblings, John Craig of Hudson, Ill., Jim Craig of Palmetto, Fla. and Sarah Aeschleman (Jim) of Eureka, Ill.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at the Atwood Family Chapel in Basin, Wyo., at 4 p.m., with her son, Martin G. Robbins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to her daughter, Shelly Robbins at 1502 Saint Francis Lane, Flower Mound, TX 75028.
