He married Faye West on Dec. 23, 1968 in Reno, Nev. Danny had been a resident of Bakersfield, Calif. before moving to Montrose 20 years ago and making his home until his time of death. Danny sold and installed carpet for 44 years, serving Montrose residents for 21 of those years. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. Following his retirement, Danny enjoyed working in the yard, and he regarded that time as “his quiet time.” He cared for his dog, ‘Lil Girl,’ and all the furry kittens who came to visit. Danny enjoyed meeting and visiting people. He had many special friends and loved to bring a smile to others. Danny will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Willis of Montrose; brother, Toby Willis of Springfield, Mo.; stepsons, Rob Peterson and Ed Peterson Jr. of Middletown, Calif., stepdaughter, Brenda Peterson of Middletown, Calif. ; granddaughter, Nikki Palmer; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Chelsea and Ashley Peterson, and Mikey Palmer, all of whom he loved dearly. Also surviving are numerous cousins; Danny loved them all; and special friends, Beck Rock, Laurie Thieson and Arlene Hutchings, all of Montrose. Danny was preceded in death by his parents.
