Heinz wins CCMA Player of Year Award

MONTROSE – Terry Heinz is the 2009 Cobble Creek Mens Association Player of the Year. Heinz totaled 80 points in CCMA competitions to edge Dave Flory who had 78 season points. Points are earned for successes in various season-long tournaments at The Links of Cobble Creek. The point system is doubled in the club championship, according to Angelo DeJulio, assistant PGA club professional.

Jack Morgan and Jim Pfafman were tied for third with 73.5 points. Jay Maguire and Ken Klaus were fourth with 72. Gene Dollarhide’s 71 points earned a fifth place. Herb George had 64, Joe Sullivan 62.5, and Terry Esch and Harry Taylor, 58. More than 80 golfers participated in the points competion.
