At the two mile mark, the Lady Indians had forged and ahead and stayed in front for the one-point victory. Montrose tallied 41 points to Moffat’s 42, with Summit County finishing third with 81. In the mens bracket, Moffatt County won with 61 points with Battle Mountain the runner up with 73. Eleven schools competed with 74 men and 67 women running. Simpson said eligibility and injury problems kept the MHS mens team from making the top four and earning a team spot at state.
