The No. 31 Lady Indians (6-15-1) lost to No. 2 Windsor (20-1) in the opener 12-2 in five innings, came back to beat No. 18 Delta (13-8) 5-3, before getting knocked out of the state qualifier with a 17-0 loss to No. 15 Broomfield (14-8). Windsor hosted the double elimination Region 8 tournament. Windsor and Broomfield both advanced.
It ended a season of ups and downs for the youthful Lady Indians, who started the season 3-1. The good news, the Lady Indians return a majority of their starters and lineup.
