MONTROSE — Barbara Impson, age 72, died Friday morning, Aug. 15, 2008 at Valley Manor Care Center of a long held illness. Barbara was born in Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland, on May 15, 1936 to William and Viola (Russell) Curnew. Barbara attended Parochial school in Newfoundland and spent her childhood there. She met Clinton Impson while he was stationed there in the Air Force and they were married in California where Clinton was stationed at the time. They lived in California for a year and then moved to Placerville, Colo. where they lived until the mid 1980’s. They then moved to Montrose.

Barbara is survived by five children, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be officiated by Chaplain Don Barr of Hospice in honor of Barbara’s life on Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at 2 p.m., at the Valley Lawn Funeral Home, 505 S. 2nd St., Montrose, CO 81401 (970) 249-4400.
