Delta police investigate body found in Cleland Park

DELTA — Delta Police are investigating the death of a man found Saturday in Cleland Park.

Longtime Delta resident George Salas, 37, was found early that morning in the park, according to Delta County Deputy Coroner Jesse Arthurs.

“We don’t suspect there was any foul play,” Arthurs said.

An autopsy was completed Tuesday, but the cause of death is pending, as are toxicology results, he said.

Delta Police spokeswoman Jamie Head confirmed the police were investigating the death, but said it was not considered suspicious at this time.
